Site Structure - Home Page

Open your web site in Expression Web. Click on button TMS-SiteNav. The first time you do so in a web site, a folder named tms-sitenav is added to your site. That is where TMS-SiteNav maintains the information you enter.

NOTE: If you have just created a website, using Expression Web's "New Website" command, you may get an error message when you try to click button TMS-SiteNav. If this happens, do File / Close Site. (Or, quit Expression Web entirely.) Then re-open the web site.

The TMS-SiteNav GUI window appears. It needs to know which page is your site's Home Page.

As the purple text indicates, the first step is to locate the file that is your home page, and click on it. Typically this page has a name such as "index.htm" or "default.htm". After clicking this, the site description contains that home page. By default, that page is given a caption of "Home". That is, a link or button to this page will show text "Home". If desired, the Home Page caption can be changed.
